Adjunct Teachers

These "friends of the school" and parents of current and/or former students provide unique insight and learning opportunities into their individual fields of expertise through in-classroom and field laboratory experiences. Curriculum enrichment includes the fields of interpersonal relations, conflict resolution, the entrepreneurial spirit, graphic design, accessing higher educational opportunities, music and the arts and many others. Lizette Espinoza
Micro-economy teacher

Lizette Espinoza teaches our Micro-economy class. Besides inspiring students entrepreneurial spirit, she covers the practical steps of starting a business, from generating an idea through planning, recordkeeping, executing, and finally modifying to adapt to circumstances. She does this through activities, discussions, lectures, and shared creativity!

Founder & Executive Director

John teaches Youth Effectiveness Training.  This is a 12 week course that helps the middle school students as well as the sixth grade students develop better interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, conflict resolution skills and acceptance of those who hold different values.

He also teaches Swift programming with the Swift Playgrounds application for iPad. Swift Playgrounds is a revolutionary iPad app that helps you learn and explore coding in Swift, the same powerful language used to create world-class apps for the Apple App Store. Engaging lessons and challenges help students learn the core concepts of coding by writing real Swift and iOS code in an interactive environment designed for touch.”

Esteban Chavez
Design Class teacher

Esteban Chavez teaches our Design Class. His goal is to sharpen the artistic and practical tools students will use to bring their ideas into being! They will focus on functional design using the concepts of Biomimcry, a process that looks to the natural world for design ideas.

Elizabeth Chagoya
College Access Program

Elizabeth Chagoya will lead a new program that she has titled The Middle School College Access Program. This course covers a range of study and organizational skills, as well as offer academic advising and college access measures, such as the application process (needed for those continuing on to private high schools as well).

Elias Chavez
Middle School
English Literature Teacher

Elias Chavez is a recent graduate from Occidental College, with a B.A in English Literature, and a Meher alum. He is the English Literature teacher and in his calm and engaged manner, Eli passes his infectious enthusiasm for literature to the students. He uses a seminar-style class model with the students, dissecting literary elements and carrying on lively discussions related to the book's theme.
