On Sunday, June 5 a group of former students and their families got together for a very special reunion. These former students are all now sophomores and juniors in high school and some of them had not seen each other in years.
The event was held at Dave & Buster’s in Arcadia. We had a wonderful lunch in our own private party area. At first the kids were a little shy with each other but when they began to look at the many pictures of their time here at Meher Montessori School it opened the flood gates of wonderful memories and the conversations were full of happiness and laughter.
It was so good to see how well they were all doing in school. Some go to private schools and some go to public school. Some of the boys were over 6 feet tall and they were all very well mannered young men and the girls have grown into beautiful and confident young women. Most of them have continued playing sports. We had a track star, a football star, a soccer star, a basketball star and even a fencing star.
My daughter Claudia is one of those former students so I was there as a parent. It was very emotional for all of us parents to see these beautiful young people together again and we also had many special memories to share. We plan on doing this again later this year so that some of the students that couldn’t attend can be there.
